Newtown Pension Committee
Minutes
April 20th, 2009
The Newtown Pension Committee met on Monday, April 20th, 2009 in Town Hall South. The meeting was called to order at 7:35pm.
Present: Tom Murtha, Dunham Smith, Mark Korotash, and Frank Krasowski.
Also in attendance: Carole Ross.
Public Participation – None
Approval of Minutes – Minutes of March 16th, 2009 were accepted as written.
Correspondence – None
Approval of bills – None
Reports or requests from retirees – None
The Pension Committee discussed the April 16th 2009 report (attached) from David Leonard of TR Paul regarding the current trust asset losses to the Pension Fund. This report was requested by the Committee in preparation of the upcoming meeting on May 4th, with the Board of Selectmen, Westport Resources and the Board of Finance.
A few points in the report will need further clarification from Mr. Leonard. Mr. Smith will contact him to do so.
